Early risers......

Maybe they think they are starting school today and are a little excited. I am not sure, but at 4 something three of my children, you can guess which three since my oldest is not excited about school, decided it was playtime. I tried getting them to go back to sleep, pacifier patrol, refluffing all their blankets, ignoring all the talking.....usually if it is just one that wakes up real early, once he realizes no wants to talk or play he will go back to sleep, but this morning there was no convincing them. So we are playing and eating pop tarts while I wait for the slow coffee maker to produce some liquid energy.

Things have been a little crazy the past couple of weeks. We had the croup, pneumonia, some wierd fever virus and a nasty cold. I don't know where it all comes from. The boys have gotten really busy...picture ants. RE is running, JW is trying to keep up with him and RO is taking it all in strategizing his attack....not quite moving yet but we are getting there. They are so funny right now. RE has learned to say yes and no so we are constantly asking him questions to the point where he just shakes his head when you look at him. RO loves books so is happy with a stack of them.........sorry I lost my train of thought because I heard some rumbling in the kitchen. RE must have known he was up to no good because when I walked in he jumped, he and JW had gotten a bag of snack chips out of the childproofed cabinet...anyway I think all babies are curious and get into things...the difference is when you have three the same age they some how can plot and seem to be a little more mischevious. Once one figures something out they let the others in on the discovery. An example. I was able to corral them for a while until they figured out how to open the double doors and the swing doors. I will watch them push that door until it gets momentum and then one will stick their arm in while the other pushes it on open.

Yesterday I was sitting on the floor playing with RO and as if one had said charge they all came and literally attacked me. One was on my head, one on my stomach and one across my legs. SE heard all the noise and said lets get mama!!!! It was funny but I really started to think how am I going to get up and I am really going to be in trouble when everyone is over 2 feet tall.

Just a quick note on what Stutts and I have been up to. Go ahead and put on your calendars October 4th. That is the opening night for his art show at the Monty Stabler gallery. He has been painting in all of his free time, which we all know is not much so he has had some late nights and probably will until October. I have decided to train for the Mercedes Marathon and am planning on running the half benefitting the Bell Center where we attend early intervention. I am excited about it and got new running shoes yesterday......after buying those I have to run.
