Hey, hey, hey the boys finally broke the 3 pound mark! They are still very tiny but are growing so fast.
RE is breathing "room air" and only occasionally gets oxygen pumped through his isolette (incubator). So hopefully no more CPAP. I held him for about an 1 1/2 yesterday.
JW is back on the CPAP (in reading these do you notice the roller coaster?). He is doing great but is just having a hard time letting go and breathing with out any assistance. Jill held him for about an hour yesterday. We have been able, thankfully, to hold all three of them since they were a few days old.
RO has graduated from the ventilator to the CPAP (that's good). He is still having to be bagged frequently because he is D-sating. However not as much while he was on the ventilator. The doctors feel his pneumonia is making it very difficult for him to breath - I'm sad to say that we have gotten used to it when they stop breathing, kind of. You have to lightly spank them on the rear or tickle their feet to get them "started" again. You never get used to them bagging him though. Besides all of this said, his color looks great, he is gaining weight and is doing so much better!
They all three look very similar but we feel that JW and RO could be identical - they look so much alike. They also look a lot like their older brother.
Please pray for continued growth, success breathing on their own and RO getting over his infection. SE
